Despite its extending right to the edges of the property, Bullock's Wilshire never appears to overwhelm the street, due in part to the graceful stepping seen here and other architectural nuances employed by John Parkinson and his son, Donald, who had joined the firm some years before. Since the facade faces north, the only time of year the sun hits it directly is in the Summer. If I had missed that window of opportunity in August I would have had to wait until late spring for it to occur again.
