Street Tree, Nutwood St, Inglewood

Most cities and towns require that residential neighborhoods and business districts designate a particular type of tree for each of their streets.  The objective is to create a sense of uniformity and cohesion, making these thoroughfares more pleasant for drivers and pedestrians to experience.  In some places street trees are strictly adhered to, while in others people have replaced them with whatever they've felt like.  Although this uncomplicated tree has a somewhat lopsided shape it's doing for the street what's asked of it, providing shade and much needed natural softness to an otherwise hard landscape.  It does not appear to be a nutwood, the name of the street notwithstanding.
